Nishta Chouraria - is a 24 year old Community Manager who works in a well established chain of restaurants in Chennai. Her lifelong passion is to curate and create great experiences in the Food and Beverages Industry.
Nishta had always wanted to take pictures of her dishes and also for the company she works for. Unfortunately, she couldn't find the right mentor to guide her to understand how to use a camera and capture great food photographs. When she found that G Venket Ram had shot a learning experience with Level Up Learning, she was one of the first volunteers who wanted to see how he approached the art form.

The course covered many important concepts and showed me the way to discover photography in a whole new way.

All my expectations were when I took the TestFlight of the iOS app was that I wanted to know how I an get around shooting some home made stills of my baking experiments, but I was blown away by how easy Venket Ram had made it for me to learn it!

G Venket Ram explains about lighting , and how one picture can show so many emotions. The process shown behind the scenes are one of the best examples. I wanted the basic camera skills to be developed and this course has helped me from day one.

Here's a photograph that I was able to shoot after watching the course. ( I definitely felt like a pro after this one :P)

I could unlock new dimensions and add responsibilties to my job once I knew photography, and I think the course helped me with that. I work as community manager in a restaurant, and now I can handle the social media as well with ease.

I was able to experiment with light and shoot different styles and add layers of storytelling to my photographs.

Working 6 days a week, I simply couldn't find time to attend a class, the online course which is self paced helped me big time as I could learn with convenience.

The resources provided are also amazing. I am really glad that I learnt from the pro rather than some institutional teacher, because I wanted practical learning. I think level up is a great platform for vocational learning, and it could help many individuals to start or pursue what they love at their own pace, and also find learning convenient.

Here are more of Nishta's Photography Experiments after taking this course:
One of the biggest Insecurities I had was about how to compose my subjects, there were various 'rules' of composition which I found online. But when Venket Ram sir told me that he never cares for rules, as long as it invokes that emotion within you, that was enough. I never cared for Rules of Thumb after that, because when a master photographer doesn't, why should I?

The best part about picking up a new skill is that now I'm also able to see things differently, and enjoy my travelling a bit more. Oh, and I'm also able to help my friends with their small businesses by Photographing their Products.

What Moves you - Makes you.

Go beyond just learning.

Whenever you like, wherever you go.
